Raja Casablanca target Moroccan defender Amine Khammas to replace Youssef Belammari
Raja Casablanca are reportedly eyeing Moroccan international Amine Khammas as a potential replacement for Youssef Belammari at left-back, with the club aiming to maintain its competitive edge in domestic and continental competitions.
According to reports, the club’s management is exploring the signing as part of a broader effort to reinforce its defensive options.
Born on 6 April 1999 in Belgium, 26-year-old Khammas holds both Moroccan and Belgian nationality.
He began his football development in Belgian academies before making his professional breakthrough in the Belgian league with stints at Genk, Lommel, and Beveren.
He subsequently moved to the Netherlands to play for Den Bosch and later joined the Cypriot league, signing for Apollon Limassol in 2021. In 2024, Khammas transferred to Omonia Nicosia, gaining valuable European experience across multiple leagues.
Internationally, Khammas initially represented Belgium at under-17 level before switching allegiance to Morocco. He has since featured for the Moroccan U18, U20, and U23 teams, highlighting his growing role in the national setup.
With a market value estimated at €500,000 by Transfermarkt, Khammas brings both experience and versatility, making him an attractive option for Raja.
The move would address the club’s need for a reliable left-back following Belammari’s departure while adding depth to the squad as they compete on multiple fronts this season.
