France international of DR Congo descent Jean-Philippe Mateta has emerged as a transfer target for Italian giants, Juventus.
The 28-year-old attacker joined Crystal Palace in 2022 and has since established himself as a member of the team. Mateta has attracted significant interest following a standout performances for the Eagles.
Mateta, whose contract expires 18-months has yet to sign a new deal for the Eagles, sparking concerns about his future at the club.
According to reports, Juventus are closely monitoring Mateta, who has long been eager to leave the Eagles and test himself at a top-tier club.
Last summer, Milan showed interest in the forward, but a €40 million price tag proved too steep for the Rossoneri. However, the situation has now changed, with Mateta determined not to extend hid stay at the club.
Juventus are prepared to spend €20–25 million on the forward, viewing him as a direct replacement for Dušan Vlahović. This season, Mateta has already featured in 32 matches, netting 10 goals and providing two assists.
