The Egyptian Football Association has rewarded members of the national team with a financial bonus following their qualification for the Round of 16 at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Pharaohs are currently preparing for their knockout-stage encounter against Benin, scheduled for next Monday evening, as they look to extend their campaign in the continental tournament.
Egypt booked their place in the Round of 16 after finishing top of their group with seven points, maintaining a steady and disciplined run in the competition so far.
Africasoccer understands that the Football Association has approved an exceptional bonus of $1,000 for each player in recognition of the team’s achievement in advancing from the group stage.
The decision forms part of efforts by the Football Association to boost morale within the squad ahead of the Round of 16 fixtures and to motivate the players to sustain their momentum.
The Pharaohs are currently preparing for their Round of 16 tie against Bein on Monday.
