Burkina Faso coach Brama Traore says his outfit will strive to put a gold star on their jersey at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations as they gears up for the round 16 clash against Ivory Coast.
The Stallions qualified for the round of 16 of the continental showpiece after defeating Sudan and finishing second behind Algeria in Group E.
Coach Brama Traore and his charges will lock horns with Ivory Coast in all West African affair on Tuesday in the last 16 of the tournament.
Speaking via the CAF website, Brama Traore reiterated his outfit determination to leave a mark at the continental showpiece, being held in Morocco.
“We strive to excel in the knockout stages. We must continue to work hard and move forward in order to put a gold star on the Burkina Faso national team jersey.”
“We are determined to make a difference and achieve positive results in this edition of the Africa Cup of Nations.”
Meanwhile, Brama Traore has expressed his joy following the sides 2-0 victory over Sudan in their final Group E clash on Wednesday.
“What matters to us is the results. Before the match, we were focusing more on preparing for the round of 16. We had to make some changes to the lineup for the Sudan match, and we decided to rest some players before the next stage.” He concluded.
