Former Chelsea winger Hakim Ziyech has voiced confidence that Morocco will lift the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) trophy.
The Atlas Lions, who have secured a spot in the Round of 16, are set to face Tanzania in the next stage.
Speaking in a brief interactive session on the international “B/R Football” platform, Ziyech, now with Wydad Casablanca, said: “The Moroccan national team will win the African Cup of Nations currently being held, I am confident of this, and I see the crowning as a natural matter for what the Lions are offering.”
Morocco began their tournament with a 2-0 victory over Comoros, followed by a 1-1 draw against Mali. They capped the group stage with a 3-0 win over Zambia to top Group A.
