The prestigious Right to Dream Academy, famed for producing Ghanaian superstar Mohammed Kudus, has been named Academy of the Year at the 2025 Globe Soccer Awards, further cementing its reputation as one of the world’s leading youth development institutions.
Founded in Ghana in 1999 by Tom Vernon, Right to Dream has once again underlined its global influence in 2025, earning recognition for its visionary approach to nurturing young talent both on and off the pitch.
The academy has grown far beyond its roots, establishing a development network that now stretches across Africa, Europe and the United States.
While the academy continues to produce elite footballers capable of competing at the highest levels of European football, its mission extends beyond sporting success.
Right to Dream places equal emphasis on education and character development, with the goal of shaping future leaders alongside world-class athletes.
The award celebrates the academy’s distinctive model built on full scholarships and academic excellence, guided by the belief that talent is universal but opportunity is not.
Through this philosophy, Right to Dream has consistently worked to close the opportunity gap and empower young people to realise their full potential.
The honour was presented by former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand and accepted by Sir Mohamed Mansour.
In addition to Kudus, the academy has produced several other top-level players, including Simon Adingra and Kamaldeen Sulemana.
