Sudan put up a top performance on Sunday to secure a narrow 1-0 victory over Equatorial Guinea in their second match at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The win, courtesy of an own goal by Saul Coco in the second half, is Sudan’s first at the Africa Cup of Nations since 2012.
The result puts Sudan in contention for qualification to the knockout stage of the tournament, heading into the last round of games in Group E.
