West Ham are being linked with a move for Viktoria Plzeň striker Rafiu Durosinmi as the Premier League club survey options to bolster their forward line.
The 22-year-old Nigerian centre-forward, currently valued at €7.50m on Transfermarkt, is the subject of transfer speculation suggesting a switch from the Czech side to east London. The reported probability of the deal remains unclear, with the move simply listed as “?” at this stage, underlining that talks, if any, are at an early or informal stage.
Durosinmi is under contract at Viktoria Plzeň, but the publicly available data does not state an expiry date, leaving open the theoretical possibility that he could move on in future either for a fee or, further down the line, as a free agent. For now, he remains a Viktoria Plzeň player and no agreement between the clubs is indicated.
Born in Lagos on 1 January 2003, the 1.92m right-footed striker operates as a central forward and has built his reputation in Czech football. After arriving in Europe with MFK Karviná’s youth side from Nigerian club Box2Box FC in 2021, he progressed to Karviná’s first team before securing a loan to Viktoria Plzeň in January 2023 and then a permanent move in July that year.
His market value has risen sharply in recent seasons, moving from €125,000 at Karviná’s under-19s in 2021 to its current €7.50m mark with Plzeň, reflecting his development in the Czech top flight. That trajectory, combined with his profile as a tall, mobile centre-forward, is likely to appeal to West Ham as they weigh attacking reinforcements.
Should a transfer eventually materialise, a move to the Premier League would represent a significant step in Durosinmi’s career, offering a stage on which to test his potential and shape his reputation at the highest level of European club football.
