Netherlands–Nigeria forward Jay Enem is being linked with a move from OFK Beograd to Serbian giants Red Star in a deal that could cap a rapid rise in his market value.

The 22-year-old centre-forward, currently valued at €2.00m, is the subject of transfer speculation within the Serbian Super Liga, with reports suggesting Red Star are monitoring his situation closely. The probability of any move at this stage is listed as unclear (“?”), underlining that talks, if any, remain at a very early, informal stage.

Enem is contracted to OFK Beograd, but publicly available data does not specify a contract end date, leaving open the theoretical possibility that he could become a free agent in the near future depending on the terms of his current deal. That uncertainty, combined with his surging valuation, has prompted discussion that Red Star could view him as a comparatively low-risk attacking option.

Born in Amsterdam on 11 March 2003 and standing at 1.93m, Enem offers a physically imposing presence through the middle. He plays primarily as a centre-forward and is right-footed, with dual Netherlands and Nigeria nationality listed in his profile.

His career path has taken him from Dutch youth football into Italy and then Cyprus before Serbia. After early years with AFC Amsterdam Youth, AZ Alkmaar Youth and Ajax’s youth set-up, he moved to Venezia Primavera in 2022. A series of loan spells followed at Vis Pesaro, Ethnikos Achnas and Omonia 29is Maiou, before a permanent switch to OFK Beograd from Venezia.

Enem’s market value has climbed sharply over the past two seasons, from €75,000 at Ethnikos Achnas to €500,000 then €2.00m at OFK Beograd, suggesting steady development and growing impact. Should a transfer to Red Star materialise, it would mark the biggest step of his senior career and could prove pivotal in defining his future trajectory and visibility on the European stage.
