Taha Ayari is being linked with a move from AIK to FC Groningen, with the Swedish club’s highly rated winger reportedly attracting interest from the Eredivisie side.

The 20-year-old, who represents both Sweden and Tunisia at national level, is the subject of transfer speculation suggesting Groningen are monitoring his situation in Solna. The level of probability surrounding the deal has not been made clear, with reports simply listing the chance of the move as “?”. There is no indication yet of any agreement between the clubs, and the interest remains at rumour stage.

Ayari is currently valued at €1.50m, a figure that makes him a relatively affordable option for a Dutch top-flight side looking to invest in youthful attacking talent. With no public information on the length of his existing deal at AIK or a fixed contract expiry date, observers have also pointed out the possibility that he could move on a free at some stage if terms are not extended.

Born in Solna on 10 May 2005, Ayari has progressed through AIK’s youth system, stepping up from AIK Youth to AIK U17, then AIK U19, before reaching the senior set-up in October 2022. All of his club football to date has come in Sweden, including appearances in the Allsvenskan for AIK, where he has been deployed primarily as an attacking left winger.

His market value has climbed sharply in recent seasons, rising from €500,000 in 2022 to the current €1.50m, reflecting his development and increasing importance within the AIK structure. That upward trend underpins Groningen’s reported interest, with the Eredivisie viewed as a natural next step for emerging Scandinavian talents.

Should the move materialise, a switch from AIK to Groningen could mark a pivotal stage in Ayari’s career, offering him a broader platform in the Netherlands to enhance his reputation and realise his potential at a higher competitive level.
