Issam Chebake is being strongly linked with a return to APOEL Nicosia from Krasava ENY, with the move currently rated at an 85% probability according to Transfermarkt data.

The 36-year-old right-back, who holds both Moroccan and French nationality, is understood to be on APOEL’s radar as the Cypriot giants weigh up experienced defensive options for their backline. Chebake’s current market value is listed at €125k, a figure that would make any deal relatively low-risk in financial terms if a transfer fee were required, or potentially attractive if he were to become a free agent.

Chebake only moved from APOEL to Krasava ENY earlier in the 2025/26 campaign, remaining in the Cyprus League after several seasons in Nicosia. While there are no public details on the length of his current contract, the absence of a recorded expiry date in the data leaves room for speculation that APOEL could explore a low-cost return or wait to see if his situation at Krasava ENY changes.

Born in Agadir on 12 October 1989 and standing at 1.75m, Chebake has built a career as a specialist right-back, predominantly operating on his favoured right foot. Before arriving in Cyprus he featured in France for Stade Rennais B, US Forbach, US Sarre-Union, Rodez AF and Ligue 2 side Le Havre AC, then moved to Türkiye with Yeni Malatyaspor, where his market value once peaked at €1.2m in early 2020.

His move to APOEL in 2021 marked the start of a gradual late-career decline in valuation, but also underlined his reputation as a reliable, tactically disciplined defender. A potential return to APOEL from Krasava ENY would reunite him with a familiar environment in Nicosia, and, if completed, could offer Chebake one more prominent chapter to cement his standing in Cypriot football before the end of his playing days.
