Manchester United poised to capture Congolese midfielder Noah Sadiki
Premier League giants Manchester United are prepared to go head-to-head for the acquisition of DR Congo international Noah Sadiki.
Sadiki, who plies his trade for Sunderland has attracted significant interest following an outstanding performance in the current campaign.
The Red Devils has, however, identified the 20-year-old midfielder as the main alternative to Brighton midfielder Carlos Baleba, whose price tag is considerably higher than Sadiki’s.
According to reports in the UK, Manchester United are prepared to make significant sacrifices to land highly-rated Congolese midfielder.
Manchester United have ramped up talks with Sunderland representatives and Noah Sadiki himself, aiming to move discussions over a potential transfer to a more concrete stage.
Noah Sadiki joined Sunderland this summer from Belgian side Union for €17 million. He has already made 15 appearances for Sunderland, and his commanding and reliable performances in midfield have quickly made him one of the team’s leaders, catching the eye of several Premier League giants.
Besides, Chelsea are also chasing Sadiki, but Manchester United appear to be in pole position to sign the young midfielder. Sadiki’s contract with Sunderland runs until 2025.
