Paul Pogba teases potential career announcement with cryptic social media post

Paul Pogba has sparked speculation about his future after sharing an enigmatic message on social media, hinting that an announcement could be approaching.

The 33-year-old French midfielder, currently a free agent following his departure from AS Monaco in August, posted a photograph on Instagram accompanied by two words: “Tic tac”.

Although Pogba did not reveal the meaning behind the message, the post has fuelled speculation that he could be preparing to announce the next chapter of his career. However, no agreement with a new club has been confirmed.

The former Manchester United and Juventus star is still hoping to revive his career after several difficult seasons disrupted by injuries and a doping suspension. His spell at Monaco was intended to provide a fresh start, but he managed just six appearances, including one start, and accumulated approximately 115 minutes of playing time.

Monaco and Pogba mutually agreed to terminate his contract on August 19, 2026, despite the original agreement running until June 2027.

The midfielder is now free to join another club without waiting for the January transfer window, potentially giving him an opportunity to return to competitive football sooner.

Major League Soccer has emerged as one of the destinations mentioned in speculation surrounding Pogba’s future, with Saudi Arabia also reportedly among the possibilities. However, neither destination has been confirmed, and no official agreement has been announced.

Pogba previously attracted widespread attention in October 2024 when the Court of Arbitration for Sport reduced his four-year doping ban to 18 months, paving the way for his return to football in 2025.

His latest message has prompted fresh questions about whether another major career development is imminent.
