Axel Disasi is being linked with a move from Chelsea to Galatasaray, with the Turkish champions reportedly exploring the possibility of prising the centre-back away from Stamford Bridge.

The 27-year-old, who holds both French and DR Congo nationality, is listed with a current market value of €15.00m, a figure that is likely to frame any negotiations. Data from transfer specialists Transfermarkt notes interest from Galatasaray, with the probability of a deal still marked as unclear (“?”), underlining the early, tentative nature of the talks.

Disasi is currently on Chelsea’s books, having returned to the club after a loan spell at Aston Villa during the 2024-25 season. With no contract expiry date specified in the data, there remains the possibility that his situation could evolve to the point where Chelsea consider a cut‑price sale or, longer term, a free exit if no new agreement is reached.

The defender has experienced a notable fluctuation in market value in recent years. After peaking at €42m during his early Chelsea spell in late 2023, his valuation has steadily decreased, dropping to €18m in October 2025 and then €15m by December 2025. That trajectory may make him a more attainable target for Galatasaray as they look to reinforce their back line for future Süper Lig and European campaigns.

Disasi’s career path has taken him from Paris FC’s youth and B sides through Stade Reims, AS Monaco and into the Premier League with Chelsea and, briefly, Aston Villa. Primarily a right-footed centre-back standing at 1.91m, he brings experience from both Ligue 1 and the Premier League, attributes that could appeal to Galatasaray’s hierarchy as they weigh up a move.

Should the transfer materialise, it could offer Disasi a fresh platform in Istanbul to revive his market value and reshape the next phase of his career.
