Abdoul Karim Traoré is being linked with a move from OH Leuven to Jupiler Pro League rivals KAA Gent, according to the latest transfer listings.

The 18-year-old centre-forward, currently valued at €700,000 on Transfermarkt, has emerged as a reported target for Gent as they assess attacking options within Belgium’s top flight. Data scraped on 3 December 2025 lists the switch as a rumoured transfer with the probability of the move still marked as unclear. There is no indication yet of an agreed fee or contract terms, and with no expiry date recorded on his current deal at OH Leuven, speculation also includes the possibility that Traoré could become a free agent in the near future.

Traoré joined OH Leuven from French side Football Bourg-en-Bresse Péronnas 01 ahead of the 2025/26 campaign, having previously progressed from Bourg-en-Bresse’s U17 team into their senior set-up. His rapid rise in estimated market value over 2025 – from €100,000 in March to €400,000 in May and then €700,000 by October – has coincided with his development as a leading attacking prospect in Belgium’s Jupiler Pro League.

Born in Kankan, Guinea, on 12 January 2007, the right-footed forward stands at 1.78m and operates primarily through the middle in the “number nine” role. Registered with shirt number 9 at OH Leuven, he represents Guinea at national level and is seen as one of the more intriguing young strikers to have moved from the French lower leagues into Belgian football in recent seasons.

While no formal talks have been confirmed, Gent’s interest in a player already acclimatised to the Jupiler Pro League underlines how Traoré’s trajectory is being closely watched. If a transfer does materialise, the move could mark a significant step in his career, offering a larger platform to refine his potential and elevate his reputation within European football.
