Senegalese winger Fabrice Tamba strike lifts Shkëndija past Rabotnički in tight Macedonian League contest

KF Shkëndija edged Rabotnički Skopje 1–0 on Monday, closing out Matchday 15 of the Macedonian top flight with a narrow but deserved victory sealed by Senegalese winger Fabrice Tamba.

Shkëndija entered the match looking to steady their momentum after a setback in European competition last Thursday, when they fell 1–0 to Drita in the UEFA Conference League.

Despite that continental disappointment, their domestic form has remained strong, and they approached the fixture in third place with confidence in their ability to respond.

The hosts asserted control early on, moving the ball efficiently and placing Rabotnički under sustained pressure.

Their efforts were rewarded when Fabrice Tamba once again proved decisive.

The 21-year-old, who has become one of Shkëndija’s most influential attacking players this season, produced the breakthrough with the only goal of the match.

His finish marked his eighth league goal of the campaign, reinforcing his growing importance within the squad.

Rabotnički attempted to regroup after falling behind, pushing forward in search of an equaliser.

But Shkëndija’s defensive structure held firm, limiting their opponents to half-chances and protecting their slim advantage.

As the minutes wore on, Shkëndija managed the pace of the game effectively, denying Rabotnički the rhythm needed to threaten a late comeback.

The final whistle confirmed an important three points for Shkëndija, who continue to maintain pressure near the top of the Macedonian Championship table.

While their European campaign has been less convincing — with just four points from their first four Conference League matches — their domestic consistency remains intact.

For Tamba, the match further cemented his emergence as one of the standout performers in the league this season, his scoring form propelling Shkëndija’s ambitions at a crucial stage of the campaign.
