Togo international Ihlas Bebou is expected to depart German outfit Hoffenheim ahead of the January transfer window.
With his contract expiring in summer 2026, the 31-year-old experienced attacker, who has been with Hoffenheim since 2019 could sever ties with the club.
Ihlas Bebou is being courted by fellow German outfit, Fortuna Düsseldorf, his former club, who are offering him a chance to revive his career.
Having returned from a long knee injury, Bebou is struggling to regain a starting place at Hoffenheim, having played only 70 minutes since his return.
Per reports, Hoffenheim does not plan to extend his contract, given his limited league appearances over two seasons. However, the Togolese striker boasts an impressive record with 45 goals and 25 assists in 195 Bundesliga matches.
His experience would be an asset for Fortuna Düsseldorf, who are aiming for promotion to the Bundesliga. A loan move could allow him to regain his form and calmly prepare for the next stage of his career.
