Benjamin Mokulu has completed a move from Unipomezia to Heraclea, joining the Serie D – H club on a free transfer in a deal that runs from 21 November 2025 to 30 June 2026.

The 36-year-old centre-forward, who holds both DR Congo and Belgian nationality, leaves Unipomezia of Serie D – F to remain in Italy’s fourth tier but in a different group, linking up with Heraclea as an experienced attacking option. The transfer follows the expiry of his spell at Unipomezia and comes with a current market valuation of €75,000.

Mokulu’s switch continues a long-running Italian chapter in a career that has taken him across Belgium, France, Luxembourg and multiple levels of the Italian pyramid. Heraclea become the latest in a series of Italian clubs to secure his services, following recent stints with Unipomezia, Acireale, Brindisi, Matera and United Riccione after earlier spells at Trapani and Ravenna, among others.

Before his return to Serie D with Unipomezia, Mokulu spent the prime of his career in higher divisions. In Belgium he represented RWDM Brussels, KV Oostende, Lokeren and KV Mechelen, while in France he turned out for SC Bastia. In Italy he featured in Serie B and Serie C with Frosinone, Cremonese, Avellino, Carpi, Juventus Next Gen and Padova, building a reputation as a physically imposing, left-footed central striker.

Born in Brussels on 11 October 1989 and standing 1.87m tall, Mokulu brings size and aerial presence to Heraclea’s forward line. His role is defined in the data as a specialist in the centre-forward position, rather than a versatile attacker, suggesting Heraclea have targeted him specifically to lead the attack or provide depth as an orthodox number nine.

His market value history underlines how long he has operated at a competitive level. Valued as high as €1.2m during his Lokeren and early KV Mechelen days, the figure has gradually declined with age to €75,000, a typical trajectory for a veteran forward moving from top-flight and second-tier football into semi-professional and lower-professional environments. That profile fits Heraclea’s needs: an experienced goalscorer available without a fee, capable of guiding a younger squad in Serie D – H.

The move also underlines how settled Mokulu’s career has become outside his home nations. Despite his DR Congo–Belgian background, the forward has for years been based away from both DR Congo and Belgium, and this latest transfer confirms that he will continue competing abroad in Italy rather than returning to either country’s domestic leagues. The data links him with ASD Heraclea Calcio at national-team level as well, a technical designation that reflects his current club association rather than international honours.

From a career-path perspective, the transition from Unipomezia to Heraclea is consistent with his recent pattern of short-term contracts across Serie D clubs. Previous free transfers between Matera, Brindisi, Acireale and Unipomezia show a player still in demand for his experience, even as his economic value has stabilised in the lower six-figure to mid-five-figure range.

Heraclea will hope that Mokulu’s extensive Serie B, Serie C and European background can translate into crucial goals and leadership in Girone H. With his contract confirmed through to 30 June 2026, the club have secured a seasoned centre-forward whose performance over this next spell could shape the final years of his professional career and determine whether he extends his long Italian journey even further.
