Saudi Arabia giants, Al Ahli have begun discussions with Senegal international Édouard Mendy over a possible contract renewal.

The 33-year-old joined Al Ahli in 2023 from Premier League giants Chelsea and has since established himself as a key member of the team.

With his contract expiring in summer 2026, the Saudi Arabia football heavyweights has begun negotiation to tie the enterprising goalkeeper down at the club.

Mendy has expressed his desire to stay with the club, citing no obstacles to renewing his contract. The club hierarchy has begun discussions with his agent, and negotiations are expected to accelerate after the international break.

During his time at Al-Ahli, Mendy has made 90 appearances, keeping 39 clean sheets and contributing to the club’s AFC Champions League Elite title win.
