Pyramids FC responds to youth players’ complaint and legal dispute
Pyramids FC has issued a formal response to reports that several youth players filed a complaint with the Egyptian Public Prosecutor about alleged registration issues and contract disputes with the club.
The club clarified it has not received any official notification of such a complaint, and if informed, it will respond according to legal procedures.
Pyramids revealed there’s been a year-long legal dispute with these players at the Court of Arbitration for Sport, after they attempted to leave in violation of Egyptian Football Association rules. The club emphasized that it has always kept its doors open to these players, officially inviting them to participate in trainings and matches, although they stopped attending and instead began training elsewhere, contrary to regulations.
In a detailed statement, Pyramids also accused the players and their guardians of trying to exploit loopholes to remove the players’ names from the official registration system, aided by a complicit employee. When this came to light, the club alerted the Football Association, which re-registered the players. Pyramids expressed regret at having to make public statements, attributing the escalation to social media actions by players’ families.
As a warning, the club signaled it will pursue all legal remedies if violations continue, determined to protect its rights and the future of its young players
