Nigerian outfit Eyimba suspend coach Stanley Eguma after disappointing results
Eyimba FC have reportedly suspended head coach Stanley Eguma following a disappointing run of results in the 2025/26 Nigerian Premier Football League campaign.
The Aba Warriors has been inconsistent this season, winning just four games, drawing five and losing four matches after 13 matches. With 17 points, Eyimba FC find themselves in 11th position.
Following the sides’ narrow home defeat to Wikki Tourists, which marks the Aba Warriors second defeat at the Eyimba Stadium, the club hierarchy has decided to suspend coach Eguma.
Eguma’s assistants, Ndubuisi Nduka and Joseph Boma have all been suspended as part of the club’s reaction to the team’s recent struggles.
Meanwhile, assistant coach, Lawrence Ukaegbu is expected to take interim charge as Enyimba begin a full performance review ahead of their crucial matchday 14 fixture against Katsina United in Jos.
Having suspended Eguma, the club will be hoping to turn things around in subsequtn matches following recent technical restructuring.
