Islam Slimani brings positive energy to Algeria’s training camp
The Algerian national team, kicked off preparations on November 11 in Cairo ahead of their upcoming friendly doubleheader against Egypt.
The first training session took place at the International Stadium’s auxiliary pitch, starting at 3 PM and lasting just over ninety minutes.
Players were divided into two groups: those who played a match on Sunday were given stretching and recovery exercises, while the rest underwent full training. Defender Abdelkader Bedrane had to exit early due to thigh pain, pending further medical tests to determine the severity of his injury.
One standout feature of the camp has been the atmosphere among the experienced members, especially Islam Slimani, who is credited for raising team spirit and infusing humor into daily routines. The lighthearted mood helped everyone, especially newer players, feel more comfortable and motivated.
Meanwhile, the Egyptian Football Federation announced a venue change for both friendly matches, with games now set to take place at the main International Stadium in Cairo. This decision reflects ongoing collaboration between the two national teams in organizing the event and aims to enhance the overall experience for players and supporters.
