Juan Bezerra’s determination shines for Zamalek as Nasser Mansi is left out

Zamalek’s interim coach Ahmed Abdel Raouf has announced his squad for the Egyptian Super Cup in the UAE, building a mix of experienced players and new signings.

The list includes Juan Bezerra, despite his recent muscle injury sustained against Tala’ea El-Gaish. The coaching staff hopes to help Bezerra recover in time with an intensive rehab program in the Emirates.

A club source told Kooora, “Taking Bezerra is crucial for his morale and sense of belonging to the team, especially after he left the last match in tears.” The team aims for him to return for the tournament’s second match if they advance.

Midfielder Mohamed El Sayed is excluded from the squad due to ongoing contract discussions, while striker Nasser Mansi is left out for technical reasons. The coaching staff puts faith in strikers Seif Jaziri, Oday Dabbagh, and Amr Nasser. Young Palestinian Adam Kayed also stays sidelined due to injury.

After a rough patch with just one win in five matches under the outgoing coach Yannick Ferreira, Zamalek bounced back to defeat Tala’ea El-Gaish 3-1. The club hopes this momentum will help bring stability and regain supporter confidence in these challenging times.
