Cameroonian midfielder Zambo Anguissa on the verge of signing new Napoli contract

Cameroonian midfielder André-Frank Zambo Anguissa is on the verge of committing his future to Napoli, with a new long-term contract expected to be signed in the coming days.

Following a string of impressive performances, Napoli are moving swiftly to secure the services of one of their most influential players. Anguissa has been instrumental under the club’s new tactical setup, recently scoring crucial goals against Inter Milan and Lecce.

According to Italian journalist Nicolo Schira, the agreement is nearly complete, with only the final signature pending. The new deal will keep Anguissa at the club until June 2029 and will see his annual salary rise to nearly €5 million.

A key factor behind the extension is the midfielder’s loyalty to Napoli. Despite receiving offers from six clubs, including Monaco, Sunderland, Galatasaray, Fenerbahçe, and two unnamed Middle Eastern sides, Anguissa chose to remain in Naples.

By pledging his future to Napoli, the 28-year-old not only reaffirms his faith in the club’s long-term vision but also strengthens his position as one of the team’s most pivotal figures.
