Libyan giants Al Ahly Benghazi recruit Ghanaian forward Albert Amoah to strengthen squad
Libyan giants Al Ahly Benghazi have sealed the signing of Ghanaian forward Albert Amoah from Asante Kotoko, in a transfer that takes immediate effect.
The move marks a significant step in Amoah’s rising career following an impressive spell in the Ghana Premier League.
The 23-year-old was one of Kotoko’s standout performers last season after joining from Accra Great Olympics, scoring 16 goals in 30 appearances and establishing himself as the club’s leading attacking force. His pace, clinical finishing, and consistent performances earned him admiration from supporters and attracted interest across North Africa and the Middle East.
The move has already been confirmed by Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko in a post on social media.

Amoah also made his mark on the continental stage, netting twice in four matches in the CAF Confederation Cup qualifiers. Although Kotoko failed to progress in the competition, his individual displays highlighted his readiness for a bigger platform.
Al Ahly Benghazi, one of Libya’s most successful and ambitious clubs, moved quickly to secure his services as they look to strengthen their squad for both domestic and continental campaigns. The transfer is expected to provide Amoah with a new challenge and greater exposure on the African football stage.
Asante Kotoko will now turn their attention to finding a replacement as they continue their squad rebuild for the ongoing season.
