Liverpool and PSG to battle for Ivorian teenage sensation Yan Diomande
Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain are keeping a close watch on RB Leipzig’s rising star, Yan Diomande, as interest builds ahead of the January transfer window.
The 18-year-old Ivorian forward, who joined Leipzig from Spanish side Leganés, has quickly established himself as one of Europe’s most promising young attackers.
His explosive pace, composure in front of goal, and maturity beyond his years have caught the attention of scouts across the continent.
According to Sky Deutschland, Liverpool are among the clubs closely tracking Diomande’s progress this season.
The Premier League side view him as a potential long-term attacking option, though Leipzig’s steep €100 million valuation is proving a significant obstacle.
Paris Saint-Germain are also weighing up a move as they continue to build their attack around younger talent.
The French champions have maintained contact with Diomande’s representatives and are said to be considering a formal approach in January if Leipzig show any willingness to negotiate.
Leipzig, however, are in no rush to sell. The Bundesliga club see Diomande as central to their long-term project and recently tied him down to a contract running until 2030.
Club officials remain confident of keeping hold of the teenager despite mounting interest from Europe’s elite.
Diomande’s performances have made him one of the breakout stars in Germany this season, and his rapid rise suggests Leipzig’s €100 million valuation may not deter serious suitors for long.
Both Liverpool and PSG are expected to continue monitoring his development closely, with a potential bidding war looming if Diomande’s form continues into the new year.
