RB Leipzig join race to sign German-Cameroonian defender Yann Bisseck
Bundesliga side RB Leipzig have joined the race to sign German-born defender of Cameroonian descent, Yann Bisseck.
Interest in the 24-year-old has intensified in recent weeks. After Eintracht Frankfurt made contact, RB Leipzig have now expressed a strong desire to bring the talented centre-back back to Germany.
Bisseck, who has struggled for game time at Inter Milan, is reportedly open to a move that could guarantee regular football ahead of the 2026 World Cup.
According to BILD, Leipzig are preparing to make a move for the Cologne native in the January transfer window. Inter are willing to negotiate but will only consider offers in the region of €30 million.
Eintracht Frankfurt are also in the picture, viewing Bisseck as a potential replacement for their defensive leader, Tuta.
However, both German clubs could face stiff competition from Ligue 1 side AS Monaco, which have also shown interest in the right-footed defender.
Although Bisseck’s contract with Inter Milan runs until 2029, a winter exit is becoming an increasingly realistic prospect.
