French-Ivorian star Manu Koné emerges as PSG top target for next summer
Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly preparing a mega offer for Roma’s dynamic midfielder, Manu Koné, as they look to reinforce their midfield options for next season.
According to Il Corriere dello Sport, the French champions are ready to table a €60 million bid for the player, with a summer move the most likely scenario—though a January attempt has not been ruled out.
Koné, who was born in France to Ivorian parents, has been one of Roma’s standout performers since arriving from Borussia Mönchengladbach.
His blend of strength, energy, and technique has made him indispensable under Claudio Ranieri, attracting attention from several top European clubs, but PSG appear determined to win the race for his signature.
Roma signed Koné permanently last summer after an initial loan deal, paying €18 million to secure his services.
The investment is now poised to yield a significant profit if the Serie A side accept PSG’s offer.
Since joining the Giallorossi, the 24-year-old has been a key figure in both domestic and European competitions, producing commanding performances in the UEFA Europa League and contributing goals and assists from midfield.
Koné has made a swift impact in Italian football, scoring his first goal for Roma in a 5–1 defeat to Fiorentina and providing an assist in a 3–0 Europa League win over SC Braga.
Despite describing Roma’s season as “complicated” after multiple managerial changes, his consistency has not gone unnoticed.
Should PSG succeed in their pursuit, Koné would join a growing list of young, technically gifted midfielders in Paris’s evolving project—one that continues to prioritise both French talent and global flair.
