Pyramids FC ends speculation over Mohamed Chibi’s future
Pyramids FC has officially addressed the circulating rumors about the possible departure of Moroccan right-back Mohamed Chibi in the upcoming January transfer window.
Despite reports linking Chibi with moves to Lokomotiv Moscow and clubs from Qatar, a club source told Kooora: “These rumors are completely false. There are no official offers to sell Mohamed Chibi.” The source clarified: “While there may be informal interest, we are not even considering letting go of one of our star players.”
Currently under contract until summer 2028, Chibi is recognized for his impressive contributions, especially after helping Pyramids secure the CAF Champions League title last season. He joined from FAR Rabat in 2022 for €400,000, and his stats speak for themselves: 129 appearances, 9 goals, 31 assists, and a reputation for accurate crosses.
Chibi is now in Morocco for a national team training camp, having just been called up for World Cup qualifiers. Pyramids FC, meanwhile, is preparing to face Morocco’s RS Berkane in the CAF Super Cup. The club insists that even if offers arrive in the future, they would be turned down.
