Mali international Ousmane Camara has committed his future to French outfit Angers by signing contract extension at the club.

The 22-year-ol defender signed a contract that will keep him at Angers until summer 2029 and is expected to play a huge role for the club.

The young defender, whose previous deal was set to expire in June 2026 will continue to ply his trade for Angers for the next four years.

He has been a mainstay in Alexandre Dujeux’s setup early into the new Ligue 1 campaign, featuring in their first six games. In their defeat to Stade Brestois 29, however, he suffered a concussion and was taken off at half-time.

Camara joined Les Scoistes in August 2022, coming from Paris FC. The Paris-born player, who featured for the French U-19 and U-20 squads, committed internationally to Mali. He was called up to the national team for their two World Cup qualifying fixtures against Comoros and Ghana.

He played the final nine minutes of their defeat versus the Ghanaians, replacing Salim Diakité (25).
