Kayserispor joins race to sign in-form Cameroonian striker Bertrand Fourrier

Cameroonian forward Bertrand Fourrier has become one of the hottest names on the Bulgarian transfer market after a blistering start to the season with Septemvri Sofia.

His performances have already drawn interest from Botev Plovdiv, and Turkish club Kayserispor are now the latest side to step up their monitoring of the 28-year-old, according to reports.

Fourrier’s impact for Septemvri this campaign has been impressive.

With six goals in just nine Efbet Liga appearances, the striker has established himself as one of the league’s most reliable finishers.

His consistency in front of goal has inevitably attracted suitors beyond Bulgaria, and Kayserispor’s growing attention signals the possibility of a move abroad.

Septemvri, fully aware of the interest surrounding their key asset, have reportedly placed a €200,000 price tag on his services.

The Cameroonian remains under contract with the club until June 2026, giving the Bulgarian side leverage in negotiations.

At the same time, the striker’s market value is estimated at €400,000 by Transfermarkt, suggesting the club’s asking price could be a bargain for potential buyers.

Fourrier’s rise has not gone unnoticed by other Bulgarian heavyweights.

Both CSKA Sofia and Levski Sofia are said to be monitoring the situation closely, adding to the competition for his signature.

However, no formal offers have yet been tabled. Sources close to the player say Fourrier and his representatives are maintaining contact with interested clubs, weighing their options ahead of the January window.

For Kayserispor, the pursuit of Fourrier would add depth and attacking firepower to their squad in the Turkish Süper Lig.

The club has been actively scouting emerging talent across Europe and Africa, and Fourrier’s track record suggests he could adapt quickly to a higher level of competition.

In the meantime, Septemvri remain focused on domestic matters.

They are preparing for their 12th-round fixture in the Bulgarian championship against FC Arda Kardzhali.

Betting company 1xbet currently lists Septemvri at odds of 5.8 to win, with a draw at 3.7 and Arda Kardzhali as 1.36 favourites.

While the immediate priority for Fourrier is to continue his goal-scoring form for Septemvri, the mounting interest from Kayserispor and other clubs hints at a significant career move on the horizon for the Cameroonian striker.
