Liverpool considering move to sign Cameroonian midfielder Carlos Baleba
Liverpool are reportedly considering a move to sign Cameroonian midfielder and Manchester United target Carlos Baleba.
The Brighton & Hove Albion player, valued at around £100 million, has been a long-term target for Manchester United. The Red Devils view him as a potential successor to Casemiro and are expected to revive their pursuit next summer after being priced out of a deal last year.
Liverpool’s growing interest could complicate United’s plans and spark a bidding war for the 21-year-old, who has established himself as a key figure at Brighton since joining from Lille in 2023.
Baleba enjoyed an impressive 2024/25 campaign, contributing four goals and two assists in 40 appearances across all competitions, further enhancing his reputation as one of the Premier League’s brightest young midfield talents.
This season, Baleba has featured in all six matches for Brighton in the English Premier League.
He is a key player for the side and will likely cost a significant amount of money should Liverpool or Manchester United move to secure his services.
