Al Ahly’s victory over Zamalek came at a cost as injuries piled up for the club ahead of their league clash with Ismailia Electricity.

Winger Hussein El Shahat underwent an X-ray after a late collision in the derby.

A source told Kooora that X-rays confirmed a second-degree bruise in his shoulder and that he will undergo a medical examination in the coming hours.

“El Shahat is feeling shoulder pain, which is preventing him from participating in training. However, there are no fractures, and his participation in training depends on the pain being gone,” he added.

The source explained that Taher Mohamed Taher also requires tests after leaving the match injured. Left-back Mohamed Shukry has resumed light running but will miss the next game. Karim Fouad and Ashraf Dari are close to returning, while Emam Ashour will undergo medical tests for a virus.

With Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet suspended, Al Ahly face significant absences. Still, Walid Salah El-Din praised the team’s spirit, calling the 2-1 derby win a performance worthy of Africa’s strongest club.
