Gibson Adu keeps focus at Bayern Munich after loan setback
Gibson Nana Adu has taken an unexpected turn in his young career but remains determined to make the most of his return to Munich.
The German-Ghanaian forward is back training with Bayern Munich’s reserve side after his planned loan move to Austrian club SCR Altach fell through.
According to SCR Altach, the youngster was close to tears when the deal had to be terminated. The move was expected to give him regular first team minutes, but Adu is now looking to stay sharp within Bayern’s structure.
For now, the youngster is training with Bayern’s reserves and is expected to gain match practice as soon as clearance is granted. Bayern have applied to the Bavarian Football Association (BFV) for a playing permit, which would make the attacking player eligible to play for the reserves on short notice and collect competitive minutes.
Until the final BFV approval, Adu will train regularly with Bayern’s reserves. The club’s goal is to integrate the prospect quickly into the Regionalliga to help him regain rhythm after the failed loan.
