Serhou Guirassy eager to face Sergio Ramos as Borussia Dortmund prepare for Club World Cup clash

Spanish giants FC Barcelona are reportedly strongly considering a move to sign Guinean striker Serhou Guirassy.

Not long ago, Africasoccer reported that the La Liga champions have identified Serhou Guirassy as the ideal replacement for Polish striker Robert Lewandowski.

Barcelona manager Hansi Flick is a big fan of the Borussia Dortmund striker and believes he will be a good addition to his team.

However, Dortmund’s sporting director Sebastian Kehl has poured cold water on the speculation. Speaking on ZDF’s Aktuelles Sportstudio, Kehl confirmed that there has been no approach from Barcelona, stressing that Flick himself is not directly responsible for squad planning.

“I only read about Barcelona’s interest, but there has been no call, no contact,” Kehl insisted, adding that even during the summer there was “not a single movement” from Guirassy regarding a possible exit.

Pressed about a potential release clause in the striker’s contract, Kehl refused to go into detail, saying, “Of course, we won’t discuss the terms of the contract here either.”

Despite acknowledging that the speculation around Guirassy is “totally exciting,” Kehl admitted he was somewhat irritated by the constant rumours.

Although the transfer is not certain, what is certain is that Dortmund will demand a huge fee for the striker should Barcelona approach.
