Achraf Hakimi has become the first African defender to finish among the Ballon d’Or’s top 15 players on two occasions.
The Paris Saint-Germain and Morocco defender was named 13th in the 2026 Ballon d’Or rankings, according to the award’s official account.
Hakimi previously secured sixth place in last year’s voting, making him the first defender from Africa to appear in the top 15 in more than one edition of the prestigious individual award.
The Morocco international enjoyed a successful campaign with Paris Saint-Germain, winning Ligue 1, the Champions League and the UEFA Super Cup.
He also helped Morocco reach the quarter-finals of the 2026 World Cup.
Hakimi’s latest ranking places him among the leading players in world football despite finishing seven places lower than in the previous edition.
The report also includes a Ligue 1 fixture involving Le Havre on 30 October 2026. A separate schedule listing shows Morocco in Africa Cup of Nations qualifying action against Niger on 13 November 2026, alongside Paris Saint-Germain.
