Haras El Hodoud celebrate vital win in Egyptian Premier League
Haras El Hodoud bounced back with a crucial 1-0 win over Zed on Saturday evening at Cairo Stadium, ending a short winless spell and giving their fans reason to cheer.
The decisive moment came in the 39th minute when Ibrahim Abdel Hakim found the net, securing all three points for the team. Haras El Hodoud had to play the final minutes under pressure after Mohamed Ashraf Roqa was shown a red card in the 89th minute.
The victory was particularly special as it coincided with the return of coach Abdel Hamid Bassiouni, who was back on the bench after recovering from a health problem. The team now sits in ninth place with 11 points, while Zed remain in seventh with 12 points, unable to capitalize on their chances.
Elsewhere in the ninth round, Ismailia Electricity strengthened their campaign by beating Al Mokawloon 1-0, thanks to Mohamed El-Sayed Sheika’s strike in the 47th minute. Al Mokawloon finished the half with ten men after Loay Wael’s dismissal (45+1), leaving them three points adrift in 18th place.
