German-Nigerian forward Karim Adeyemi nets winning goal for Dortmund against Wolfsburg

Germany winger of Nigerian descent, Karim Adeyemi, scored the winning goal for Borussia Dortmund on Sunday in the encounter against VfL Wolfsburg in the German Bundesliga.

In the game played at Signa Iduna, the Black and Yellows won 1-0 and picked up important 3 points, to stay second in the Bundesliga standings.

Adeyemi broke the deadlock in the 20th minute with a superb strike that arrowed into the corner of the net, leaving the Wolfsburg goalkeeper helpless.

It was also a memorable evening for Nico Schlotterbeck, who made his long-awaited return to defense after 175 days on the sidelines, delivering a solid performance to help Dortmund keep a clean sheet.

Borussia Dortmund will now turn their attention to their upcoming Bundesliga clash away at Mainz 05 on September 27, before resuming their UEFA Champions League campaign against Athletic Bilbao on Matchday 2.
