CAF Confederation Cup: Asante Kotoko coach Karim Zito targets huge victory against Kwara Utd

Asante Kotoko head coach Abdul Karim Zito has emphasised the importance of securing a convincing win in their upcoming CAF Confederation Cup fixture against Kwara United.

The first leg of the tie is scheduled for Sunday, September 21, at 3:00 PM at the Accra Sports Stadium.

In a pre-match interview, Coach Zito highlighted the strategic need for a strong performance at home to ease the pressure in the return leg in Nigeria.

“We are working towards our attitude, our approach. Now that we are going to play at home, we have to overcome them with a lot of goals to make it easier when we go to Nigeria. They will also try to prevent us from scoring, so that it makes it easier for them in Nigeria.

“We are taking this match so seriously; we won’t underrate anybody [in this competition]. I’m optimistic about a win on Sunday, Inshallah,” Karim Zito told AKSC Media.

The Porcupine Warriors are expected to field a strong lineup as they aim to progress further in the continental competition.
