Pharco hold firm to frustrate Al Mokawloon in Egyptian Premier League clash
Pharco fought with spirit to hold Al Mokawloon Al Arab SC to a 1-1 draw on Wednesday evening, leaving their hosts still searching for their first victory in this season’s Egyptian Premier League.
The game opened the seventh round at El Mokawloon Stadium and carried the tension of two sides desperate for points.
The home fans thought their wait for three points was finally over when Mohamed Abou Gouda broke the deadlock in first-half stoppage time. His sharp strike in the 45+3 minute lifted the crowd and gave Arab Contractors belief that their winless run was about to end.
Pharco, however, refused to give in. The visitors stayed organized, pushed forward with determination, and found their reward when Ramez Madhat coolly struck home in the 79th minute to bring them level. That moment silenced the stadium and reminded everyone of Pharco’s resilience.
For coach Mohamed Mekky and his Arab Contractors side, the single point leaves them bottom with 4 points from seven games. Pharco, guided by Ahmed Khattab, edge slightly ahead with 3 points, but remain in the fight for survival.
