Liverpool and Manchester City are closely following Bayern Munich winger Michael Olise as questions grow over his long-term stay in Germany.
The Premier League giants remain keen on the French international despite his current deal running until 2029.
Olise, 23, joined Bayern from Crystal Palace last summer in a €60m move and quickly established himself as one of the Bundesliga’s brightest performers. In his first season, he produced 27 goal contributions with 12 goals and 15 assists across 34 league games. His sharp rise has only fueled speculation of a possible return to England.
“The case of Michael Olise’s contract at Bayern Munich bears some similarity to Jamal Musiala’s case – if you wait too long, it gets difficult,” Christian Falk explained.
“If you see such quality, you have to act earlier, otherwise the Premier League will be quick to swoop. Manchester City are watching him, Liverpool are watching him,”
Bayern see Olise as central to their future project, but the club must weigh offering him improved terms against their efforts to lower wage costs.
