AS Monaco keen to re-sign Franco-Congolese defender Axel Disasi
AS Monaco remain keen on re-signing French international of DR Congo descent, Alex Disasi in the current transfer window.
Disasi joined Chelsea in 2023 from Monaco, but struggled to secure a regular spot in the starting lineup, making just 61 appearances.
The 26-year-old centre-back spent half of last season on loan at Aston Villa. He arrived at the club in January with high expectations, but ended up with a modest performance.
During his six-month spell at Villa, Disasi made only five appearances for the club. Out of the picture at Chelsea, Monaco are said to be considering resigning the 27-year-old centre-back this summer.
Disasi is on the radar of a hosts of clubs this window, with Aston Villa and Bournemouth expressing firm interest to sign him on a permanent deal.
Joining the race is Monaco, who wants to re-sign their former player to bolster their defensive for the campaign. Two years after trading the Stade Louis II for Stamford Bridge, he could be set to return.
Manco have already sold Wilfried Singo to Galatasaray and are also looking to offload Mohammed Salisu before the closure of the transfer window.
Monaco want to sign the France international on loan, however, Chelsea are looking for a permanent move.
