German giants Borussia Dortmund are interested in signing Moroccan midfielder Eliesse Ben Seghir.
The Yellow and Black outfit has joined fellow Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen in the race to secure the services of the youngster.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that Leverkusen recently submitted an opening bid for the 20-year-old, which Monaco rejected. Talks are ongoing, with a new offer expected in the coming days.
Dortmund have also been alerted to the player’s availability, with the club making inquiries about his situation within the last 24 hours.
Ben Seghir, valued at around €28 million, is a versatile attacker who can operate on the left wing, as a central playmaker, or even up front.
During the 2024/25 season, he made 46 competitive appearances for Monaco, contributing nine goals and four assists.
The competition between Leverkusen and Dortmund sets up a potential Bundesliga battle for one of Morocco’s most promising young talents.
