Stade Rennes target Conrad Harder as replacement for Franco-Congolese forward Arnaud Kalimuendo

French Ligue 1 outfit Stade Rennes are pursuing a move for Sporting CP forward Conrad Harder as a replacement for Franco-Congolese attacker Arnaud Kalimuendo.

Rennes are in the market for a centre-forward as attacker Kalimuendo nears Nottingham Forest switch in the current transfer window.

Following an agreement between Nottingham Forest and Stade Rennes, the talented attacker is scheduled to undergo all necessary medical tests next week before putting pen to paper.

The talented forward is joining Nottingham Forest for a transfer fee worth €31.5m and is expected to play a huge role for the club next season.

Despite interest from Brentford and Newcastle United, the Midlands outfit have stolen a match for the acquisition of the attacker.

In their quest to replace Kalimuendo, Rennes have reportedly identified Harder as an ideal fit. The Denmark international joined Sporting CP from Nordsjaelland in a €19m move last summer.

Harder was Viktor Gyokeres’ understudy in Lisbon last year. The versatile Harder has logged 11 goals and seven assists in 49 appearances. Talks are reportedly underway between Rennes and Sporting CP.

Kalimuendo has been in the books of Stade Rennes since 2022, establishing himself as a key member of the team.

Last season, Kalimuendo made his mark as a dynamic and clinical striker. He featured in 34 matches for Rennes, scoring 18 goals and providing 4 assists.
