Cameroonian winger Georges-Kévin N’Koudou poised for Al Diriyah move in $3.5m deal

Cameroonian winger Georges-Kévin N’Koudou is set to leave Damac FC before the end of his contract, with a move to Saudi First Division League side Al Diriyah reportedly agreed.

The 30-year-old, who has a year remaining on his deal with the Saudi Pro League club, is understood to be on the verge of a $3.5m transfer to the second-tier outfit.

Negotiations between the two clubs have concluded successfully, paving the way for the Indomitable Lion to join his new team.

Al Diriyah are believed to have outpaced strong competition from fellow Saudi clubs Al Ula, Neom SC, and Al Shabab, as well as Qatari side Al Duhail.

The latter, once considered frontrunners, withdrew their interest to prioritise alternative targets, opening the door for Al Diriyah to secure the signing.

Reports indicate the club has offered N’Koudou a three-year contract, with an annual salary of $1.33m.

This package, combined with the club’s sporting ambitions, is said to have been decisive in persuading the Cameroonian to make the switch.

Since joining Damac FC, N’Koudou has been one of their most prolific players, recording 28 goals and nine assists in just 63 appearances.

His attacking threat and ability to operate across the front line have made him a standout figure in the Saudi top flight.

Transfermarkt currently values the forward at €5m, underlining the scale of the acquisition for Al Diriyah as they aim to strengthen their squad for a promotion push.

While official confirmation from either club is yet to be made, all indications suggest the deal is imminent.

Should it be finalised, N’Koudou will bring not only his proven scoring record but also valuable international experience to his new side.

A Cameroon international, N’Koudou’s career has seen him play in several top leagues, including stints in England, France, and Turkey, before moving to the Middle East.

His arrival is expected to add both firepower and leadership to Al Diriyah’s ranks as they target a successful campaign in Saudi Arabia’s second division.

This transfer would mark another high-profile move in a busy Saudi football market, where clubs across both tiers are aggressively reinforcing their squads ahead of the new season.

For N’Koudou, it represents a fresh challenge and an opportunity to extend his impressive scoring form in a new environment.
