Arsenal plan Ethan Nwaneri loan exit

Arsenal are prepared to let Ethan Nwaneri leave before the transfer window closes, with RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund among the Bundesliga clubs linked with the teenage attacking midfielder.

The 19-year-old was not included on the bench for Arsenal’s 3-0 victory over Manchester City, adding weight to reports that a departure is being considered.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Nwaneri is expected to move on this summer as Arsenal assess the best route for his development. A loan is viewed as the most likely outcome because the England Under-21 international remains under contract with the Gunners until 2030.

Nwaneri spent the second half of last season on loan at Olympique Marseille, where he gained valuable senior experience. That spell has increased interest in his next move, particularly from clubs able to offer competitive football and a clearer path to regular minutes.

Leipzig and Dortmund have both monitored the left-footed forward, who can operate across several attacking positions. Either club could provide an attractive platform in Germany’s top flight, although no formal offer has been reported.

Arsenal’s preference is likely to be a temporary move that protects the club’s long-term investment while helping Nwaneri continue his development away from north London.
