Morocco champions RS Berkane express keen interest in Al Ahly defender Achraf Dari
Morocco champions RS Berkane has expressed keen interest to sign Al Ahly defender Achraf Dari in the ongoing summer transfer window.
Berkane are executing an aggressive effort to bolster their squad for the upcoming 2025/26 football campaign as they seek to compete for laurels.
Having secured doubled last season, the Moroccan outfit are poised to make a meaningful impact. However, the club has stepped up in augmenting their squad for the season, with the Moroccan star, who plies his trade for the Egyptian giants emerging as a priority target.
Al Ahly have reportedly express desire to offload the Moroccan defender, with Berkane showing interest. Berkane sees Dari as the player who can facilitate their return to the Moroccan league, having previously represented Wydad Casablanca.
Given that, Berkane is looking for a defender of Dari’s caliber to replace legendary Burkinabe captain, Youssoufou Dayo, who left the club after a decade with the club.
However, the deal remains subject to Dari’s wishes, as he is not interested in returning to Morocco at the present time.
Meanwhile, Berkane have intensified efforts to sign new defenders before the start of the new season, to compensate for the shortage caused by Adel Tahaif’s departure to Umm Salal of Qatar.
