Al-Masry and Ceramica Cleopatra SC in talks to sign Al Ahly winger Reda Selim

Al Ahly forward Reda Selim has emerged as a transfer target for Egyptian clubs Al Masry and Ceramica Cleopatra in the ongoing summer transfer window.

The Moroccan winger is currently not in the plans of the Egyptian giants ahead of the start of the 2025/26 football campaign. Reda Selim has been omitted from Al-Ahly squad for the new season due to the foreign players available at the club.

Al Ahly currently has five foreign players in their squad forcing the club to exclude the Moroccan. The foreign players in the team include Ashraf Dari, Ashraf Ben Sharqi, Mohamed Ali Ben Ramadan, Gradishar, and Aliou Dieng.

The African giants is seeking to loan Reda Selim to give him a chance to start and assess his fitness after he recovers from his injury, before a final decision is made regarding his future.

According to reports, Qatari club Al-Gharafa has not sent an official offer yet, with two Egyptian club currently negotiating to sign Reda Selim this summer.

The stumbling block remains his annual salary, which is approximately $700,000. Al-Ahly may bear a portion of it if he is loaned to either club.

Al-Ahly had signed Reda Selim from Moroccan club AS FAR just one season ago and has yet to settle at the club.
