Ismaily SC faces tough season with new coach Miloud Hamdi
Ismaily SC has turned to Algerian tactician Miloud Hamdi in a bid to steer the club away from another difficult season.
The former Young Africans coach arrives at the Egyptian side with determination and a deep understanding of the uphill task ahead.
Despite a tempting list of offers after a stellar run in Tanzania, Hamdi chose the Dervishes out of loyalty and belief. “The club showed real commitment,” he said through Ismaily’s official channels, underlining the mutual trust that sealed the deal.
Facing a transfer ban until January, Hamdi acknowledges the squad’s limitations but refuses to dwell on them. “I know I don’t have a striker at the moment, but I’m not here to justify things, but to work. I will make the best use of the players we have, and I am confident that we will achieve gradual improvement.”
He is relying on a 4-3-3 system and using friendlies to shape a cohesive unit ahead of the new Egyptian Premier League season starting in August.
The connection with fans in Ismailia is already growing, with Hamdi calling for unity.
“I meet fans every day who say their blood is yellow and dream of Ismaily returning to its former glory. There is a fear of relegation, but we are one family, and we must unite to overcome this difficult period,” he said, vowing to guide Ismaily back to stability, one step at a time.
