Al Ahly focuses on striker hunt not Zed FC defender Mohamed Ismail
Al Ahly has shut down reports linking them to Zed FC defender Mohamed Ismail, choosing instead to focus on boosting their attack ahead of the new season.
The Cairo giants made it clear that they are not in talks with ZED over Ismail. A club source told Kooora, “The rumors about negotiations with ZED to sign Mohamed Ismail are not true.”
The same source confirmed the club is already happy with their recent defensive signings: “Al-Ahly was satisfied with signing Mostafa El-Ash permanently from Zed, Yassin Marei from Pharco, and Ahmed Ramadan Beckham from Ceramica Cleopatra, in addition to promoting Ahmed Abdeen, to strengthen the center-back position, alongside Yasser Ibrahim and Ashraf Dari.”
Instead, Al Ahly’s attention has turned to the forward line, especially with the possibility of Palestinian striker Wissam Abu Ali leaving. “We are seeking to sign a new striker if Palestinian striker Wissam Abu Ali leaves,” the source added.
With pre-season plans underway, the Red Castle looks set in defense, making it clear their next move will be all about firepower.
